HoPe On
i know a guy more sober than his 5 years. During a more emotional than usual share, he described the relief he felt upon desperately entering the program, saying through his tears, “The difference between a sliver of hope and no hope is huge.”
That you have chosen to visit this blog shows you have not given up. Your reading this proves you still have hope, and this is huge.
Now, continue to do the next right thing.

Indeed. Perhaps more than one could know or understand! And in more than one way/meaning, for me, anyway. It’s either hope, or stubbornness, lol.
Carry the Message’s comment is helpful to read, too. Makes me realize that one can be on the edge of falling over the cliff and yet bounce back to good things.

So true. There was a time that I thought I was never going to get sober, but I had a sliver of hope, kept coming back. People told me, “Don’t give up till the miracle happens!”
Hope is the all-important first step! Now we just need to keep putting one foot in front of the other and doing the next right thing.
Keep coming back,
